A new book for the reading list, by Oriana Fallaci who has committed the sin of pointing out Europes abdication of it's culture to Islam with nary a whimper. The National Review article quotes her regarding the fear of many Europeans to say that which is apparent: "If you are a Westerner and you say that your civilization is superior, the most developed that this planet has ever seen, you go to the stake. But if you are a son of Allah or one of their collaborationists and you say that Islam has always been a superior civilization, a ray of light...nobody touches you. Nobody sues you. Nobody condemns you."

We are heading the same way in America. Criticize Islam, or Hinduism or mormonism or buddhism or atheism or agnoticism and you get branded intolerant. Attack Christianity and you are labelled an intellectual, a free thinker, or open minded. The church must be mindful of the double standard we are treated to and the danger we face, otherwise we will follow Europe down the dark road they are trodding. This is a must read article...

(Another hat tip to Russ Lipton, who is now on my must-read list!)
