An interesting piece in the Cincinnati Enquirer...

Like much of the country, Cinci has a serious shortage of Catholic priests and it isn't getting better any time soon, and Cinci is one of the most heavily Catholic cities in America. The Enquirer estimates that by 2010, there could be only 100 priests in the Greater Cinci area and they would be serving a half million local Catholics, over 5000 Catholics per priest. Lay people want reform but the Vatican is dragging it's feet. How can you have a priesthood that attracts young men when you are signing on for a life of celibacy, and an unbiblical celibacy at that?
