I am turning my attention back to Russell Moore's wonderful book on adoption, Adopted For Life, and came across this gut wrenching quote on how American evangelicals have adopted the world's view of children:
Like the rest of American culture, we often see children as something expected but to be minimized, lest they get in the way of our dreams. And we think that's a sign of health. (Russell Moore, Adopted For Life, pg. 76)
That is sadly true.
