TBN - Modern day Tetzel

There is an incendiary post from John MacArthur this morning, Unholy Trinity, comparing the Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN) to Johann Tetzel, the infamous seller of indulgences that helped spur Martin Luther to write his 95 Theses. Dr. MacArthur rightly points out the heretical teachings of TBN and also that their heresy targets and victimizes the poor. From founders Paul and Jan Crouch to "faith healer" Benny Hinn to the guy dressed like a camel (inside joke), TBN is spouting heresy across the airwaves and heaping condemnation upon their heads. I wish more leaders in the church would call this what it is: heresy.

I saw crouch say he loved Macarthur and that he was a great teacher of truth - he said he just couldn't wait till the day Macarthur got slain in the Spirit and started rolling around on the floor.
