Hockeytown is gonna party like it is 2002...or 1998....or 1997...or (you get the picture)

Today is the Stanley Cup parade in downtown Detroit and boy is this a city that needs some good news. Foreclosures, high unemployment, automakers downsizing, Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, crime. Bringing the Stanley Cup home is huge for Detroit. It will be a nice change of pace, people coming to the bank seem a lot happier, at least temporarily. It is not a solution, but it is a nice change of pace in a generally depressed metro area. Now if we can just get a few pro-business Republicans in office...
(No I am not going downtown, fighting through a crowd of a million people is not my idea of fun)
