The "Prophet" thinks the Nicene Creed is confusing?

In advance of the mormonism miniseries on PBS, they released a brief video clip (about 10 minutes long) on the Religion and Ethics page. It gives a quick overview of mormonism, and more importantly gives a fair amount of time to critics of the mormon church. One of the oddest parts was listening to Gordon Hinckley (it looks like he is at a General Conference perhaps) describe the Nicene Creed as confusing...

"Personally, I cannot understand it. To me the creed is confusing."

One of the most basic statements of the Christian faith is confusing? The modern day reigning prophet on earth is unable to understand it? Here it is, I guess I don't find it all that confusing....

I believe in one God,the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible; And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God,begotten of his Father before all worlds,God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God,begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father;by whom all things were made;who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary, and was made man;and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate;he suffered and was buried;and the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father;and he shall come again, with glory,to judge both the quick and the dead;whose kingdom shall have no end. And I believe in the Holy Ghost the Lord, and Giver of Life, who proceedeth from the Father [and the Son];who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified;who spake by the Prophets. And I believe one holy Catholic and Apostolic Church;I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins;and I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. AMEN.

That is easy to understand if you read and understand the Bible.
He is sounding a little doddering. The interview was mostly with Dallin Oaks, who still is an excellent communicator. I am pretty hopeful for the four hour version, that it won't be a puff piece and demonize Christians who witness to mormons as meanies picking on the poor, defenseless mormons.

Wow, it shows the grace God gives us when He opens our ears and eyes to see the truth that was there all the time...

I am unsure here if he really doesn't understand the Nicene Creed or if he is just being cagey. I remember a few years ago, Hinckley was on Larry King Live and acted all confused about the doctrine of man becoming God, but when he was in front of a group of mormons he laughed it off and assured them that he knew all about that doctrine. He is pretty smart and cagey, so you always have to take everything they say with a grain of salt (or two)
