Non-resistance In Light Of The Selling Of Human Beings Piecemeal

I write a fair bit about the genteel genocide that happens on a vast scale in America in the sterile offices of abortionists. I don't apologize for that. Just the opposite, the national horror and staining of our character that is abortion demands the church speak out. If I posted something about abortion every day of the year I would still count myself timid in the struggle for basic human dignity for the least of us.

This past week has introduced an entirely new level of gruesome brutality as undercover videos show representatives of the falsely named organization "Planned Parenthood" bartering for the left over pieces of human infants. While "comedians" cried crocodile tears over the death of a single lion, the media did their level best to ignore the whole topic but thanks to social media and a few outspoken voices, this topic will not go away. What makes these videos so chilling is not the brutal act of abortion. Everyone knows (but few will say) what happens when a woman enters an abortuary pregnant with a human child and leaves no longer pregnant. We hide the brutal carving, crushing and vacuuming of over a million children each year behind clever euphemisms and concepts like "choice" and "women's reproductive rights". It is murder for hire hiding in plain sight, little different from rail cars filled with Jews going away and never coming back. The Germans knew something was going on but no one talked about it. Likewise we avoid talking openly about abortion and certainly refuse to look at the results. No, what really makes the videos grotesque is how casual the representatives of history's greatest mass murderer are about the entire thing.

Casual brutality is far worse than other kinds of brutality. The brutality that is often on display in our popular culture and evening news is bad enough but when brutality is hidden behind shrugged shoulders and polite conversation there is something far more disquieting about it. We sort of get it when people who are unhinged are savage but when savagery happens in lovely offices with not so much as a moment of regret by people purporting to be "medical professionals", it is so much worse. When you compound this brutality with the half a billion the tax payers provide to these butchers and the reality that one political party, to quote George Will's brilliant column, has as a sacred cow the unlimited, anytime, anywhere, any age support for abortion...

The nonnegotiable tenet in today’s Democratic Party catechism is not opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline or support for a $15 minimum wage. These are evanescent fevers. As the decades roll by, the single unshakable commitment is opposition to any restriction on the right to inflict violence on pre-born babies. So today there is a limitless right to kill, and distribute fragments of, babies that intrauterine medicine can increasingly treat as patients.

...you are left with no choice but to act. But how in keeping with Biblical non-resistance?

What then ought a non-resistant Christian do in light of abortion, especially with the new revelations of Planned Parenthood harvesting the "non-crushed" parts of tiny human being for sale?

I have some serious moral qualms about the way the videos were gathered. Being false even in the defense of the helpless is something that bothers me. I also have absolutely zero faith that electing a sufficient number of Republicans would do anything to stop abortion. My understanding of the Biblical mandate to Christians is, in the King James vernacular, that we "resist not evil" (Matthew 5:39) and "overcome evil with good" (Romans 12:21). So what then? Shall we sit on the sidelines and think positive thoughts?

Of course not. Being non-resistant never has been intended to be inactive, just that we seek the way of the cross in fighting injustice rather than employing the coercive and violent methods of the world. We can and we must be outspoken, prophetic voices calling those who commit abortion and those who seek abortion out to repent. Even as grievous a sin as abortion is, it is not beyond the reach of the blood of Jesus. Even those who profit handsomely from infanticide and are enemies of God and a type of anti-Christ in doing so demand not our hatred but our love and our prayer. We also must continue to emasculate the false dilemma posed to pro-lifers that we only care about a child until they are born. The evidence that the opposite is true is overwhelming but we must continue to do more to show the love of Christ to women and men alike who have chosen life instead of death for their child. That means education and that might mean material support, both of which are provided in vast measure by the many crisis pregnancy centers operating around the country. For those who have had an abortion and now repent must be treated as brothers and sisters. None of us has a clean slate before we were born-again. Of course we must pray, often and fervently, for God to stop this barbarism because only God can change a human heart.

It often seems bleak and even hopeless but little by little I believe that the people of this country will roll back the legal abomination created out of thin air by the Supreme Court. We are limited in the tools God has given but those tools possess unlimited power if we only have the courage and humility to use them.

Had Enough Yet?

Many of my fellow Christians who are also politically conservative see abortion as a non-negotiable issue. It is not hard to understand. Unborn children epitomize the concept of "the least of us". They are the most vulnerable, most powerless in our society and have served as a political football for decades.

For those of my political and faith persuasion our concern for the unborn means that we are expected and obligated to show up in droves on election day to vote for Republicans. No matter how incompetent or odious the GOP candidate might be, the alternative is almost certainly an avowedly  pro-abortion Democrat, someone who is somewhere on the spectrum between reluctantly supporting abortion and wildly enthusiastic about abortion as a secular sacrament.

So understandably many Christians were cheered by the rather lopsided win for Republicans in the elections last fall. Perhaps a new era was dawning and the GOP would finally actually respond to our faithful support by making substantive policy changes to protect the unborn.

Nope.

Today the GOP House of Representatives, with an overwhelming majority largely sent to Congress by people like me, botched and failed to advance a very popular bill preventing abortion after 20 weeks. This should have been an easy bill to pass but it was completely bungled (assuming it wasn't callously sabotaged by the GOP, something that seems pretty likely).

The social media backlash has been swift, angry and exhibits a sense of being fed-up. Ross Douthat tweeted:

Mollie Hemmingway wrote a scathing piece, Why Everyone Should Be Terrified By The GOP’s Abortion Bill Debacle, including video from two female Republican supporting the bill when it didn't matter before helping to block it today.

Here is a poorly kept secret. The GOP establishment leadership doesn't really care about abortion except as a flashy, emotional issue that drivs voters to the polls. What they mostly care about is keeping their moneyed donors happy. Rod Dreher had this to say "Once again, social conservatives are useful idiots for the Koch Party." Pretty much.

It might be time to divorce the Republican party and to disavow these vain attempts at soft theonomy and realize that we are getting played as chumps by politicians. We are making very little progress in actual protection of the unborn while at the same time being unequally yoked with the party of preemptive war and capital punishment.

41 Years Of Shame

Sacrificing children has a long and horrifying history. Throughout the existence of man some cultures have brutalized the most vulnerable members. We rightly look back with horror on such abuse of the innocent, the old, the infirm, women and most of all children. From the pagan worshipers of the Old Testament era who delivered children to be burned to the Holocaust to the intentional killing of civilians by military forces, we are rightly outraged by those who kill for the sake of terror and ideology. At least that used to be the case.

Forty one years ago today, the Supreme Court of the United States decided that a "right" to abortion existed in the United States Constitution, rendering an entire class of people disposable. In an absolutely travesty of tortured reasoning divorced from even a cursory attempt to base their decision in the Constitution, the Justices decided with the stroke of a pen to disenfranchise millions of Americans without due process.

The repercussions of the creation of the "right" to an abortion have been staggering. Around 55 million Americans have been killed by medical professionals, doctors who take an oath to first do no harm. 55 million people who will never get a chance to take their first step, to play in a park, to go to school, to get married.

55,000,000 babies.

The smallest and most vulnerable. The weakest and most dependent. The very people that common decency and human nature should cause us to defend. They are not just some abstract concept. You cannot rightly dehumanize people by reducing them to catch phrases like "choice" or "reproductive freedom" any more than you can dehumanize Jews in Nazi Germany or blacks in the pre-Civil War South by painting them as subhuman no matter how you try. No one deserves to be forced into a gas chamber because they are Jewish. They are human beings. No one deserves to be enslaved because of their skin color. They are human beings. No one deserves to be cut apart in the womb because of their relative size. They are human beings.

Matt Walsh wrote a powerful piece yesterday on the latest feminist flavor of the week, Texas representative Wendy Davis who has made her political fortune by advocating for infanticide. Sure she lied about her touching background story, from trailer park dweller to poster child for infanticide, but that doesn't matter to the forces of "choice". All that matters is that she stood up to The Man and made a spectacle of herself anf in doing so has become an apostle for the death cult of Choice. She even managed to trump Sandra Fluke who only demanded that taxpayers subsidize her promiscuity. Poor Sandra will never get ahead unless she gets on board with abortion advocacy. At the end of Matt's post, Planned Parenthood: still a bigger liar than Wendy Davis, he writes:

So, Wendy Davis lied? Yes, of course she did. She lied about a lot more than her divorce and her stint in a trailer park. She lied the moment she stood up and positioned herself as a champion for women. In reality, she isn’t championing anyone but herself, and she’s stepping on the carcasses of dead infants in the process.

Planned Parenthood has been doing that for decades.

Wendy Davis, you learned from the best.

What do you call a political movement that has as their highest ideal, their one non-negotiable article of faith, the legal right to murder unwanted people? About 70 years ago you called it Nazism but today we have nice, neat clinics with friendly staff and magazines in the waiting room instead of guards, barbed wire and dogs. I guess some would call that “progress”. Is that extremist? Is it lacking nuance? Is it hyperbole? Not at all. If anything it is too mild.

Slavery and abortion are the two great stains on America. We can only hope that the conscience of the American people one day views abortion as an evil at least as bad as the enslavement of a race of people. The little ones who have no legal rights, barred from justice by a thin layer of skin, deserve our strongest efforts. The scourge of infanticide demands our outrage, our prayer and our action. Make a point today to pray for those who work in these clinics. God has powerfully saved many and shown them the truth. Pray for women who are waking up this morning terrified by an unexpected pregnancy. Pray that they will pick up the phone and call a pregnancy resource center rather than an abortuary.  Pray for those who labor on the front lines of this fight for life. We will likely never overturn abortion by he power of Caesar but by God's grace we can overcome abortion one saved child at a time by the weapons He has given us: prayer, faith and our own weakness. Pray for God's forgiveness of the apathy of His people for so long in standing up for life.

Fifty five million slain. God have mercy on us.

Mohler on the murderous euphemism of reduction

As I expected, Albert Mohler has penned an essay on the recent New York Times article givign us a glimpse into the horrifying world of “reduction”, i.e. killing one or more children in favor of a single or a couple of children (I first looked at this in a post here: Reduction to a singleton ). The more I think about this, the more tragic it becomes. This entire medical subculture is a result of a culture that on the one hand demands that young women seek after education, career and pleasure for as long as possible and put off child bearing as an impediment to fulfilling the desires the world tells them to embrace and then on the other hand promotes radical interventions to impregnate women who realize they want children but have waited too long. The unintended consequences of this culture are enormous, from designer babies to aged parents raising young children.

Dr. Mohler’s essay This Isn’t Meddling — It’s Murder strikes the right tone. One of the things I appreciate about Dr. Mohler is that he is sober and unflinching when it comes to issues like this but he also always recognizes the underlying issue of sin that drives this and every other aberration. It should be apparent that the “solution” to this is not hand-wringing or angry denunciations. It is Christ. What infanticide hidden under the euphemism of “reduction” is at its core is a symptom of a world wracked by sin being carried out to its logical conclusion. The Kingdom response is not marches or protests or legislation. It is Christ preached and the Way lived, city by city and family by family. Every Christian family that lives in a way the world deems foolish is a testimony to the lost. We don’t need more sermons or political action committees. We need more Christians living as ambassadors of the King in a world that rejects Him.

Doing some good doesn't excuse murder

Sandra Fish writing for Politics Daily is crying hypocrisy over the effort to defund Planned Parenthood: Planned Parenthood Defunding: Family Planning's Not a GOP Family Value?. How can you claim to be family friendly and yet defund such a noble organization?! Sandra sez:

When it comes to family planning, apparently the ability to decide whether or when to have a child isn't part of Republican family values.

That's the message the GOP-controlled House sent by voting to cut not only all of Planned Parenthood's $75 million in federal funding for family planning but also the entire $317 million Title X budget. Title X money helps pay for birth control, screening and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, breast and cervical cancer testing, prenatal care, sex education and vasectomies for men. About 4.7 million Americans get health care from clinics funded by Title X money, according to the Guttmacher Institute.

Indiana Rep. Mike Pence represented his successful gutting of the funding as a victory in preventing abortion, even though the Hyde Amendment, enacted in 1977, prohibits federal funding of abortion except in cases of rape, incest or to save the life of the mother. And President Barack Obama signed an executive order last year preserving the funding ban under the new health care reform law.

In addition to the money from from Title X, which was signed into law by Republican President Richard Nixon in 1970, Planned Parenthood and other health care providers receive Medicaid money for health services to low-income people. Under Pence's amendment, approved in a 240-185 vote, Planned Parenthood wouldn't be allowed to receive any federal dollars, including money from Medicaid.

The message here apparently is that Planned Parenthood should be supported because of all the swell stuff they do and we should overlook the abortions they perform. Set aside whether you consider making it easier for young women to be promiscuous and engage in physically, emotionally and certainly spiritually risky sexual behavior to be a societal good for another discussion.

Here is where the rubber meets the road. No matter what value you find in the other services Planned Parenthood provides, those other services cannot offset the grim reality that Planned Parenthood profits from providing abortions. Even if they provided abortions for free and even if they only performed one abortion per year it would make the entire organization unacceptable. Hiding the fact that Planned Parenthood is an abortion mill behind language like "family planning", "womens health services" and "choice" is designed to deceive and distract from the horror that happens behind closed doors in their innocuous looking clinics. Their devotion to the bloody cult of choice taints everything else Planned Parenthood does and makes this organization one that shouldn't receive one nickel of tax dollars.

It is bad enough that we permit infanticide in this country, we certainly shouldn't be subsidizing it.

Ted Turner sez: Quit breeding!

Ah Ted, always good for an inane quote. Apparently he recently called for a global version of the infamous Chinese "One Child" policy that has led to an untold number of abortions especially of baby girls as well as infanticide.

Climate change and population control can make for a politically explosive mix, as media mogul Ted Turner demonstrated Sunday when he urged world leaders to institute a global one-child policy to save the Earth’s environment.

Mr. Turner – a long-time advocate of population control – said the environmental stress on the Earth requires radical solutions, suggesting countries should follow China’s lead in instituting a one-child policy to reduce global population over time. He added that fertility rights could be sold so that poor people could profit from their decision not to reproduce.

I wonder who is going to pony up the money to pay women in Third World countries to not bear children? Him? Perhaps he will pay for them to have abortions if they do become pregnant. The underlying message here is that poor, non-Caucasian people, should be bribed to not breed. On the bright side, no one really cares what Ted Turner thinks.

Babies cost America money so we should just kill them

That is apparently the prevailing opinion among Congressional Democrats. This from a interview with Congressman Bart Stupak:

Stupak notes that his negotiations with House Democratic leaders in recent days have been revealing. “I really believe that the Democratic leadership is simply unwilling to change its stance,” he says. “Their position says that women, especially those without means available, should have their abortions covered.” The arguments they have made to him in recent deliberations, he adds, “are a pretty sad commentary on the state of the Democratic party.”

What are Democratic leaders saying? “If you pass the Stupak amendment, more children will be born, and therefore it will cost us millions more. That’s one of the arguments I’ve been hearing,” Stupak says. “Money is their hang-up. Is this how we now value life in America? If money is the issue — come on, we can find room in the budget. This is life we’re talking about.”

If Democrats push this through, Rep. Stupak should either switch parties or resign Congress. He cannot caucus with a party that bargains away human life. Set aside the issue of socialized medicine for a moment. We are going to subsidize wholesale murder of infants as taxpayers, in part because it is cheaper to abort babies than pay for them.

Call your Senators and your Representative and tell them to vote NO on tax-payer funded infanticide.

37 years of legalized infanticide

37 years ago today in 1973, the Supreme Court of the United States legalized abortion. In doing so it created out of thin air a right that doesn’t exist anywhere in the Constitution to murder a child in the womb. The picture in this post is of a child at 17 weeks. According to the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision, this child that is clearly a human being, sucking it’s thumb, is nothing more than a legal abstract. It can be allowed to grow and develop until delivered or dismembered and discarded for a couple hundred dollars. All on a whim in the name of hat most sacred word: “choice”. In a sweeping and incredibly misguided legal decision, millions of Americans have had their most fundamental right taken away by a court and in turn were murdered by their own mothers. By their mothers, the one person in all the world you should be able to count on and rely on to protect and nurture a child.

If the Supreme Court of the United States can take away the right to life for the most defenseless among us, what good are any of our rights? For all of the virtues of America, Roe v. Wade stands as a monument to injustice in a land that takes pride in freedom and equality.

A looming gender and age crisis in China

There is a report out from China Daily referenced in the Wall Street Journal and it contains a horrifying statistic regarding abortion in China. 40% of all Chinese pregnancies end in abortion. That is 13,000,000 unborn children that have had their lives snuffed out in the womb. That sort of carnage is really unimaginable. The number of lives lost to abortion every year in China is about the same as the number of lives lost during the entire Holocaust.

Even worse, that number, as horrific as it sounds, it might be far too low:

Wu said the true number of abortions is much higher than the reported figure of 13 million, which doesn’t include abortions performed in unlicensed clinics or account for the use of abortion pills in the early stages of pregnancy.

Meanwhile, China continues to see an increase in gender imbalance and will continue to see an age imbalance as their population grows older and that elderly population finds fewer young workers to support them. There is a very dangerous demographic trend in China that is repeated on a smaller scale in other nations: an overrepresented population of young men and a swelling population of elderly. To get a sense for this, it was recently reported just how dramatic the gender imbalance is in China:

A new study published in the BMJ (British Medical Journal) puts an alarming number on China’s gender gap. In 2005, it says, there were 32 million more males than females under the age of 20.

The cause is no surprise: A one-child policy combined and a cultural preference for boys that leads some prospective parents to abort female fetuses

32 million more males than females. Millions of men unable to find spouses. That spells social and economic catastrophe for China and that can only have ominous consequences for the rest of Asia and the world. The last thing the world needs is a nascent economic and military superpower, armed with nuclear weapons, with an economic crisis and an overpopulation of young men.

We have a smaller scale but just as pressing problem in America. In America we abort 1,200,000 babies on an annual basis. Those are workers who will not be buying products or paying taxes into the gaping maw of the social security system and the rest of the Federal government. We are faced, before we even start to think about adding an enormously expensive and undoubtedly inefficient single payer universal health care system, with an unattainable promise in the Social Security system. The system is already running out of money, a situation that is only going to get worse in the coming years as the ratio of workers paying into the system and elderly receiving benefits continues to tilt in a gray-ward direction. Fewer workers cannot support great numbers of elderly with the same level of benefits without drastic changes or frankly unreasonable tax increases.

The worldview that sees children as a burden on the family, the economy and the environment is leading to a world full of the elderly with no one to support them. How long can it be before the reality of this situation leads to calls for selective euthanasia, to eliminate the inconvenient and the unwanted elderly? That logic seems to work fine for the priests of the goddess “Choice” when it comes to unborn children and given how little we value life anymore, why not eliminate the weak so that the strong may survive and thrive? Undesirables are growing ever more expendable and where in the world does it stop?

The architects of the Final Solution would be proud.

Seeking common ground on murder and following in the footsteps of George Tiller

I have kind of been beating the same drum over and over here, but this whole tragic event surrounding George Tiller has served for me as a stark reminder of what is going on all around us. I opened up the Lansing phone book this morning and glanced at the glossy color ads for abortion providers touting their services, no doubt kept busy by the college students in the area. There is a Planned Parenthood clinic right on the main drag on the north side of the campus of Michigan State, right amidst the coffee shops and bookstores. I have eaten at Buffalo Wild Wings just a block or so away from an innocuous looking door, behind which young women in the earlier 20’s are make life-altering decisions to kill their own children. It can be easy to get caught up in everything else and really to start feeling hopeless about abortion, but the need is as great today as it has ever been for us to fight. We may not be in a position to overturn Roe v. Wade, but abortion is a war we can fight one woman, one unborn child at a time. We might not be able to save them all but we can spare no effort to see one child live that otherwise would have died.

The latest impetus for a rant was just a horribly disturbing article in the Wall Street Journal this morning, Common Ground on Late-Term Abortion: Anguish. What was so distressing about it was the sheer hypocrisy it exposes among abortion on demand advocates.

I have already made the statement, which I will reiterate now, that there is no place for “common ground” when it comes to abortion. Abortion is not a political issue. It is a fundamental issue of humanity, how do we view children in our society even the smallest and most defenseless ones? The idea that we can find areas for agreement on abortion is ridiculous on its face. People who oppose abortion typically oppose abortion because we consider it the murder of a defenseless human child. When you start from that position, your room for “common ground” evaporates. The entire conversation with pro-abortion folks is so full of misrepresentation and outright dishonesty as to make discussion, much less “common ground”, unfathomable. For example, when you look at the shenanigans that abortionists and their profiteering lawyers engage in to get around the laws, it ought to make you nauseous.

Thirty-seven states, including Kansas, prohibit late-term abortions. But under Supreme Court precedents set in 1973 in Roe v. Wade and its companion case, Doe v. Bolton, state restrictions on abortion must generally include exceptions for the woman's life and health, which includes mental and emotional health.

Medical records subpoenaed by prosecutors in Kansas indicate Dr. Tiller approved some late-term abortions on the grounds that the women suffered from anxiety or depression. To opponents, those are shockingly flimsy excuses. But several attempts to prosecute Dr. Tiller for violating the law failed.

So the law is framed in such a way that a woman can pay someone to kill her unborn child late in her pregnancy because she is “anxious”? How many women are NOT anxious during pregnancy especially in the later stages?

What was really unfathomable is that one person cited in the article has decided on a career in killing because of the slaying of George Tiller.

Dr. Tiller's killing has pushed some young doctors to commit to a career in abortion. Lisa Hofler, a medical student at Emory University, had been mulling over the idea for some time despite her husband's concern for her safety. Now, she said, she's determined to offer abortions as part of her practice.

Still, she expects to limit her practice to first-trimester abortions. She doesn't feel comfortable, she said, pushing the boundaries.

I really have a hard time believing that a substantial number of med students are going to be inspired to abandon healing and take up being an abortionist based on this event. The report cites just this one person and in reading her comments I could only think: What a twisted worldview. Abortion is so important that she wants to take her intellect, a pile of student loan debt and probably nearly a decade of college, med school and internships and put that education to use ending pregnancies. But just in the first trimester, anything later and she might start to feel guilty about it. Why is it OK on one day but not the next?

Even many ardent supporters of abortion look at late second trimester or third trimester abortions, up to and including partial birth abortions, and get squeamish. Being “pro-choice” makes for a swell political slogan, looks great on t-shirts and bumper stickers but when the reality of what is going on hits you in the face, it sort of muddies the waters. If it is just a medical procedure, why not publicize it? A picture of a spleen being removed might be icky but it is not morally offensive. Show someone a picture with the results of making a “choice” and the image of a dismembered baby will shake you, not because of the medical ickiness but because the picture of a tiny child dismembered stirs something fundamental in what it means to be a human. It just screams out that it is wrong. I know we don’t like using a word that is so inflexible like “wrong” today, but some things just are “wrong” and we cannot be afraid to say so.

What is the difference between a first trimester and a third trimester unborn child? Viability is a bogus argument. Can a first trimester baby live outside the womb. Of course not. Could a third trimester? Not without the nearly constant attention of her mother. In fact, a baby after birth requires a lot more time and attention to survive than a baby in the womb. My one and a half year old is smart as a whip and mischievous as the day is long, but even 18 months after she was born she is not “viable” without the care and attention of her mom and siblings to keep her fed, changed, rested and (more or less) clean. So it must be something else, something else that causes people to draw an imaginary line in the sand where a child goes from a mere blob of flesh to something we feel uncomfortable killing.

I am glad for one thing. Even today, thirty years after the gross injustice of Roe v. Wade and the ensuing bloody decades of “choice”, even after the deaths of millions of babies, even after a whole generation has been conditioned to see abortion as a fact of life hidden behind vague terminology and slogans to hide the horror, even after all of that people still feel a sense of revulsion when they think about a child mere weeks or days from being delivered having a doctor end their life. That isn’t much to be glad about but it is something.

A solution for Guantanamo Bay detainees...

Just legally declare them fetuses!

Check out this tongue-in-cheek satire from Scott Orr and then think about how tragically true it is.

In an effort to shut down the U.S. Naval Detention Center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, thereby restoring America's moral standing in the world, President Barack Obama today declared some 240 enemy combatants held at Gitmo to be 'human fetuses'.

In an executive order, the president said, "Since I ordered Gitmo shut down, and people don't want us to bring the inmates here, the only way to extract them from the facility is to change their legal status to one that offers us more choices."

While accused terrorists have access to attorneys, and nearly-limitless legal appeals, a fetus has no legal standing, cannot speak for itself, and is subject to the death penalty without regard to guilt or innocence.

Civil rights advocates have pressured Obama to follow through on campaign promises to shutter Gitmo, but even Democrats in Congress have resisted bringing the inmates to U.S. soil for trials and incarceration.

"We can debate whether enemy combatants have access to protections under the U.S. Constitution," said Obama. "However, no serious person would grant such protection to an embryo or fetus. The loss of 240 fetuses wouldn't raise an eyebrow in a nation where more than 3,000 of them hit the Dumpster daily."

We live in a nation where many people are far more worried about the rights of terrorists than they are about the rights of innocent unborn children. Ponder that.

Opening our minds to supporters of murder

President Obama spoke today at the commencement ceremony at Notre Dame, a shameful moment for that institution, and called for both sides on the abortion debate to be "open-minded"...

"When we open up our hearts and our minds to those who may not think precisely like we do or believe precisely what we believe -- that's when we discover at least the possibility of common ground," Obama said.

Mr. President, I have no room for being open-minded when it comes to the murder of unborn children. No sane person should. We can argue about taxes, we can debate about immigration, we can be respectful when it comes to gun ownership but when it comes to infanticide, there is no room for open-mindedness, for compromise, for common ground, for respect. I cannot and I will not respect a position that reduces human life to a "choice" and sacrifices children for the sake of convenience.

Pray for repentance

Today is the anniversary of one of the darkest days in American history, the landmark and criminal Roe v. Wade decision that overrode the laws of every state and created a “right” to abortion. The right to an abortion doesn’t exist in the Constitution yet it has become the law of the land in America and tens of millions have paid the horrible, ultimate price. Thirty six years ago on January 22, 1973 by a seven to two majority, the Supreme Court of the United States made murder legal by judicial fiat. These are the seven justices who made this the law of the land:

Chief Justice Warren E. Burger. Associate Justices William O. Douglas, William J. Brennan, Jr., Potter Stewart, Thurgood Marshall, Harry Blackmun, Lewis F. Powell, Jr.

These seven men have the blood of millions on their hands. Their names should be remembered in the same way we remember Joseph Goebbels, Heinrich Himmler, Adolf Hitler, Pol Pot, Joseph Stalin and all of the other mass murderers in human history. That may seem a harsh comparison but the death toll of abortion is staggering and was made possible by these seven men. Adolf Hitler didn’t personally kill a single Jew in a concentration camp, but he made it all possible. In the same way, these seven men may have never performed an abortion but their dishonesty and callous disregard for the law and human life has set this nation of a path of infanticide.

We stand today in a nation awash in the blood of innocents and two days ago we watched a man sworn into the office of President with the words “So help me God”, a man who supports every form of abortion no matter how hideous.

So help him God?! That man should be trembling on his knees for invoking the name of God while supporting abortion!

So help us all God, for the holocaust in our land
