Apparently American Christians adopting children from impoverished foreign nations is a form of colonialism. Wow, check this out.

I checked out that woman's Quiverfull book from the library, thinking it would be interesting. It was so unashamedly hateful and fearful that I barely got past the first chapter. It breaks my heart that there are people in this world who would rather see children grow up in orphanages or the foster system rather than be raised by Christian parents. I certainly don't want to be alarmist or pessimistic, but I believe there may come a day when it will be illegal for Christians to adopt, or to teach their faith to their adopted children. I am almost glad you shared this though, because it is so easy to get caught up in the little world I have created for myself, and forget how much of the world truly hates us--as we should expect it to. Thank you for the needed reminder.
