A deep and fascinating discussion on ecclesiology

Often the comments sections of a blog reveal more than the post itself. That is the case with a guest post from a few weeks ago over at Alan's blog. The guest post is from a friend of Alan Knox who happens to be Roman Catholic and his post is on Roman Catholic ecclesiology. While the comments started out kind of slow, they have really picked up and now number over 100! If you haven't already, you should check it out and read the comments. It will take you a while but I think it is worth your time. Grab a cup of coffee and check out Guest Blogger: A Focus on Catholic Ecclesiology . You will be glad you did!

Unity - as long as folks want to keep arguing about why the way they practice their Christian faith is better, and make derogatory comments about other's faith traditions there will never be unity. What a shame that so many obviously intelligent men can find nothing better to do than nit pick each other for hours on end about their worship preferences.
As followers of Christ we are called to love one another, and it is in love for our Christian brothers and sisters regardless of worship tradition that we will find unity.

A fair criticism but the issues being discussed going beyond worship traditions and get into issues of authority and I would argue the Gospel itself.
