DeYoung, Restless, and Reformed: Why I Think the Church is Amazing (Even Though We Don't All Get Cool Buildings Like This One)
Kevin DeYoung at University Reformed Church in East Lansing, a stones throw from where I live and work raises a very valid point. It is pretty easy to cast aspersions on the institutional, organized church. It is the biggest group, it is what we associate "the church" with, it is what we grew up with and what we know and it is very easy to find fault with it. But there is a lot of good that goes on there as well. Give his post a read, it is thought-provoking and looks at things from a different angle than I have been coming at the topic with.
