FIDE-O: MacArthur's Millennial Manifesto
Great news in that Sam Waldron's response to John MacArthur's claim that every self-respecting Calvinist is a premillenial dispensationalist is finally being released in book form. Dr. Waldron posted a lengthy series of responses to Dr. MacArthur from a amillenial, Baptist perspective on the blog of Midwest Center for Theological Studies, Illumination, but the blog posts were pretty unwieldy to read. Dr. Waldron was very gracious and firm in his response, demonstrating a deep grasp of the topic and also exhibiting his deep respect (a respect that I share) for Dr. MacArthur as a wise brother in Christ and magnificent Bible expositor. I am planning on pre-ordering a copy from Reformed Academic Press, it is only $12.99 and is definitely a worthwhile investment.
