I will say that there is value in a topical study as well that draws from sources across the entire Scriptures. I guess I need to get a feel for who is interested and where they are before making a decision.

Bean, the workbook is a free download which is nice. I probably wouldn't give the participants a copy, just use it for my own purposes as a guide to discussion.Arthur Sidohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03848508095612688493noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6643715.post-44899823299132172672011-06-02T10:26:24.116-04:002011-06-02T10:26:24.116-04:00Well I started to print out the study guide, it is...Well I started to print out the study guide, it is very long, I had printed our an inch thickness of paper and it was still printing, I cancelled the print job.
I like the way the chapters are organized, I like the questions, and "work book" approach. I did a study a number of years ago that was structured in a similar manner, it kept the group organized and focused on the topic at hand.
The only drawback with using a workbook is that it tends to put a damper on discussion.

My 2 cents worth,

BeanBeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14484707482492844677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6643715.post-89576838220902309582011-06-02T00:15:48.895-04:002011-06-02T00:15:48.895-04:00I like the One True God study. He's a passionate man and preacher, but from what I've seen of that that book, it's merely reading scripture and filling in blanks. I'd say, save the money and go with the gospel of John.Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10309196547246475091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6643715.post-16141697726715162192011-06-01T20:41:43.063-04:002011-06-01T20:41:43.063-04:00Sure, although any book would be a good study. They are studying a few weeks ahead of what the church is studying together (although there are also teenagers who take part in the Bible study who are not part of our church). Right now, they're studying Acts.

-AlanAlan Knoxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07452247058550736803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6643715.post-39956899767463445702011-06-01T20:38:20.374-04:002011-06-01T20:38:20.374-04:00I thought about that as well, working through John...I thought about that as well, working through John's Gospel?Arthur Sidohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03848508095612688493noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6643715.post-92024540706005919432011-06-01T20:28:39.853-04:002011-06-01T20:28:39.853-04:00Arthur,
