Those who participated in the offering, received redemption, and thus, celebrate in the eating of the sacrifice following the offering.<br /><br />In the New Covenant, the focus of the Altar (The Cross), principally, was what it provided, redemption. Those who participated in the offering (Being grafted in), and thus celebrate in the eating of the sacrifice (this is my body/blood)following the offering.<br /><br />But that might just be too simple.
