The Blood-Drained Gospel of Rob Bell
Dr. Moore (having actually read the book BTW) looks at what Rob Bell has to say about the blood of Christ and it sounds like he (Rob Bell) sees it as a mere anachronism, something that made sense to primitives but also something that we have moved beyond. I might have to borrow Bell’s book from the library one of these days but I certainly won’t spend a nickel to buy it.
I am concerned that many Christians are going to rush to embrace this book as a way to "stick it to the man" but I would caution all of us once again that in our haste to cast aside traditions and rituals that we don't cast the truth out at the same time.
