One thing I believe the Lord impressed on me was the fact that none of these churches are really the church, but just man-made institutions that are somewhat Christian in nature. Rather like the Salvation Army. The church is wherever two or more are gather in His Name. It actually makes it easier to visit one from time to time, knowing that I'm just visiting an organization with its rules and regs and in most cases, corporate status. And most of the man-created churches began because of a church split, opposition in doctrine or some such thing. Man has made a mockery of the true church. Unfortunately, these traditions have been in place for so many centuries and very few can see the forest for the trees. Thanks again for your article.Beneath The Living Watershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00184216840376426780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6643715.post-10175592997241955162014-06-15T21:52:27.135-04:002014-06-15T21:52:27.135-04:00I am a missionary in Mexico who has just left the ...I am a missionary in Mexico who has just left the institutional church. I did it after just getting back from a trip to Keystone, South Dakota where we learned how to launch discipleship movements from the Keystone Project. Speaking of Fort Wayne, the founder of the Keystone Project, Richard Greene, just moved his family from there to Keystone, South Dakota. My former pastor asked us where we were going to have our meetings on Sundays. I told him that we were going to visit the families of the prisoners (I am in prison ministry). To him, one should be in a church service on Sunday. We have the other days of the week to evangelize, he said.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6643715.post-12252493051536499152011-10-15T16:05:14.887-04:002011-10-15T16:05:14.887-04:00Nice blog site!

Jesus is building HIS church, and man simply must get out of the way! Unfortunately this has proven harder than one might think, as even well-intentioned individuals have left a legacy of organization that they never intended. Oh the beauty of simply existing, without all the complications of human endeavors! I pray I some day truly get to that point.

MarkMarkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14871432677951973950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6643715.post-25505199158101487192011-04-05T09:24:01.375-04:002011-04-05T09:24:01.375-04:00mark and brian

It is all too easy for that which started organic to become institutionalized, and the only to prevent that is to remember that it is not the wineskin that matters so much as the wine itself, and that persistent, dogged pursuit of Christ is all that matters at the end of the day.Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14871432677951973950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6643715.post-16136662477349837352011-04-04T18:39:07.261-04:002011-04-04T18:39:07.261-04:00Arthur,
